UNIFORMS & DRESS CODE
We take pride in our appearance at UCANDANCE. This is to help us feel like a dancer, move freely, safely and to promote being a part of our TEAM. Wearing the correct attire is important to ensure that the dancers body alignment can be seen, and safe corrections can be given by teachers.
Attention should be given to grooming, etiquette and presentation.
Hair should be in a dance bun for all classes, other than hip hop.
T-shirts are only permitted in Hip Hop classes

Uniform is compulsory across all classes and age groups. We have many options available to our students, to ensure everyone feels comfortable.

Can be worn with the Keira shorts. Great for those who prefer a uniform that provided more coverage, or for those who also might do ballet and have back to back classes, students can slip their shorts on after ballet class.
Cut high at the waist for comfort and on trend look.
Please note that sample image is showing the back of the leotard.
Built in shelf bra, no crops or straps to be showing.

Uniform option for the following classes during cooler months, or great to wear on the way to classes to keep warm. Not advised for Acro, as the flared bottoms will hinder skills being taught. The pants have the UCANDANCE logo printed on the back.
Please ensure you do not get these too big, they should not touch the ground and be firmly fitted.

Not to be worn in class, other than Hip Hop. Fitted attire such as the Willow Crop or Joni leotard, or unitard to be worn so that students can be taught correct technique and the body alignment can be easily seen to apply safe dance technique and corrections.
UCANDANCE JACKET

UCANDANCE printed zip up jacket. Logo on front chest and back. Great for keeping warm on the way to classes, between classes and to feel part of the UCANDANCE team.
Jackets are not worn in classes as it is important that we can see the body alignment to apply safe teaching practice and techniques.
